I work for a witch called Vivienne.
Vivienne isn’t her real name. Obv.
I provide IT support to her business, both online and in the real world. Among other things she works as a psychic, clairvoyant, witch and fortune teller. I still get these terms mixed up. I know about programming, SEO and the IT world, not magic.
I don’t believe in magic and didn’t intend to end up in this situation. This blog is designed to preserve my sanity.
Often, after a day dealing with witches, covens, psychics, and assorted practitioners of the magical arts, I wish I was back working in the city, in the bank. Unfortunately that is not possible, and whenever I need to vent or describe my day, I write about it here and on moonface.org.
I can’t tell my friends what I do. They wouldn’t believe that I had sunk so low. Instead I pretend that I work for an internet start up. If asked about the work, I either say I’ve signed a NDA or start describing genetic algorithms of some sort (interesting but not to many people). Most people rapidly change the subject.
